(Jonas Larson)

The RedBridge concept involves taking part in the changing of Linux and the Open Source market in Sweden. We work actively to introduce Open Source strategies and products to companies and organisations.

We offer companies and organisations consultancy services and products based on Open Source, enabling them to introduce IT infrastructure and functions offering maximum benefits to customers.

We're looking for staff with extensive Linux expertise (or who've worked with Unix) and practical experience of major customers and organisations. If you can act as a project manager and/or IT architect, this is a plus.

Your profile

Background and experience We'll need you to be a Linux (Unix) system administrator/consultant, and you'll need to have been involved in this field for some time and be comfortable sitting in the driving seat for the customer.

You'll have good general computer skills, and ideally database and application server expertise as well. Familiarity with Oracle database, MySQL, WebLogic Server, Apache, Resin and JBoss Application Server is an advantage.

You'll be familiar with shell script, Python, PHP, Java, Perl, C, C++ or some other programming language.

You'll be able to work independently, as well as being good at resolving problems and having an interest in and ability to listen to, explain to and manage users and requirement specifiers.

Personal qualities

  • You're very inquisitive and committed to the field of databases.
  • You're driven by helping customers with their problems.

We'll offer you:

  • An exciting journey where we'll work together to make our customers happier.
  • A pleasant, easygoing team of people who want to make a difference.
  • An interesting job which will allow you to work with leading products on the Open Source market.
  • Plenty of opportunities to influence your role.
  • An option for further training in the field of system administration/architecture.
